About The Position

As a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager, you will join a growing team, collaborating across the business to deliver cost estimating and management services. Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant degree.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ technical experience.
  • Pre and post contract experience.
  • US citizenship and/or existing/transferable right to work in the US.
  • Covid vaccination required by existing clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Accreditation (MRICS), or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience using Cost X, OST, Revit, BIM.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake and deliver Cost estimates and peer reviews at all stages from SD to CD.
  • Provide cost advice and optional appraisals to enable informed decision-making for successful projects.
  • Offer procurement advice and strategies tailored to project conditions to meet client needs.
  • Manage the bid process, including RFP preparation, bid leveling, recommendation, and commentary on contractual documentation.
  • Perform monthly financial cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Manage change orders, including entitlement review, measurement, negotiations, and recommendations per contractual documents and client processes.
  • Process payment requisitions, soft cost invoices, and liaise with the client's accounting team.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, and chair meetings as required.
  • Manage final account and financial close-out in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist with RFP bid preparation and attend project interviews.
  • Collect and provide project benchmarking data.
  • Understand industry trends and developments to provide accurate cost and industry advice.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to deliver accurate cost advice.
  • Demonstrate time management skills to plan, manage, and deliver tasks in a timely manner.
  • Represent WT professionally with clients, consultants, and contractors to foster positive working relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for new business development with existing clients.
  • Support other team members, offices, projects, and/or service streams as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
