About The Position

Flow Traders is seeking entrepreneurial, competitive, and analytical students for a Trading Intern position with the New York Trading team for Summer 2027. This nine-week program, from early June to early August, offers a full immersion into the trading floor environment in New York City. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of Flow Traders' market role, learn how traders capitalize on arbitrage opportunities, and observe team dynamics in optimizing trading desks. The program includes problem-solving, trading simulations, and project work alongside experienced traders. No prior experience is necessary, but a passion for trading and the ability to apply quantitative skills in a fast-paced setting are essential.

Requirements

• Candidate for a Bachelor’s degree studying in the United States with a major in Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or related
• Demonstrable interest in trading and global financial markets
• Excellent mental math, quantitative and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and an affinity for scientific programming or development languages
• Ability to think on your feet, reason logically and deliver under pressure
• Innovative and creative with an entrepreneurial and competitive mindset
• Attracted to a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment that offers great challenges and rewards

Responsibilities

• Learn directly from industry leaders on the New York trading floor
• Participate in structured educational courses and hands-on trading simulations
• Develop and test trading strategies through project-based work using quantitative models and trading tools
• Collaborate with Traders and Quantitative Researchers to solve real-world trading challenges
• Gain in-depth exposure to Flow Traders’ core business and market-making activities
