About The Position

This position is available only to enrolled American University students. Most student positions at American University are eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards, with a few exceptions. The Quantitative Research Methodology Assistant provides guidance and training to faculty on the use of quantitative data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, EViews, Mathematica, MATLAB, R, and others. In collaboration with the Director of Data and Statistical Analysis, they conduct one-on-one consultations; custom workshops for departments; and general faculty workshops as part of CFE faculty programming. They also collaborate on researching new tools and troubleshooting solutions to questions received from faculty.
