About The Position

The Student Research Assistant supports research, academic, and creative projects by assisting with various project-related tasks. This position provides valuable hands-on experience while helping faculty, staff, or research teams achieve project goals. Duties may vary depending on the project and can include research support, data organization, documentation, and other assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• BET surface area analysis of sediments and soils
• Synchrotron-based experimental data acquisition and processing
• Lab-based experimental design and sampling
• Field-based sampling and sample processing
• Training and advising of new undergraduate research students
• Literature search, reading, summarizing and integrating into scientific manuscripts
