About The Position

The Quantitative Developer will help with the implementation of efficiency-improving solutions for the assessment of residential real estate equity and debt investments. This role involves analyzing investment data, making detailed inferences or attributions, assessing complex financial models for opportunities to make efficiency improvements, using the latest technology tools to improve the efficiency and/or reduce the complexity of financial workflows, and translating pieces of Excel models into C# code for usage on a website application.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience
Strong background and familiarity with at least one type of real estate equity and/or debt investment, such as REITs, CMBS, RMBS, and/or whole loan trading
Writing code in an object-orientated coding language
Manipulating various type of database data using SQL
Working with complex Excel workbooks
Experience with C#, Java/C++/Python and a willingness to learn C# is acceptable
Being a strong user of T-SQL, Oracle SQL, or Snowflake SQL is required, though the candidate must be willing to primarily use Microsoft T-SQL

Nice To Haves

A college degree or higher in a STEM field
Master’s degrees and PhD-holders welcome but not required
Candidates with a combination of strong technology skills and deep finance knowledge
Any experience with web development would be favored but is not required
