The Quantitative Developer will help with the implementation of efficiency-improving solutions for the assessment of residential real estate equity and debt investments. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Strong background and familiarity with at least one type of real estate equity and/or debt investment, such as REITs, CMBS, RMBS, and/or whole loan trading
  • Writing code in an object-orientated coding language
  • Manipulating various type of database data using SQL
  • Working with complex Excel workbooks
  • Experience with C#, Java/C++/Python and a willingness to learn C# is acceptable
  • Strong user of T-SQL, Oracle SQL, or Snowflake SQL is required, though the candidate must be willing to primarily use Microsoft T-SQL

Nice To Haves

  • A college degree or higher in a STEM field
  • Master’s degrees and PhD-holders welcome but not required
  • Candidates with a combination of strong technology skills and deep finance knowledge
  • Any experience with web development would be favored but is not required

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing investment data, making detailed inferences or attributions
  • Assessing complex financial models for opportunities to make efficiency improvements
  • Using the latest technology tools to improve the efficiency and/or reduce the complexity of financial workflows
  • Translating pieces of Excel models into C# code for usage on a website application
