About The Position

Join MassMutual’s LTC Inforce Management Team and help drive the success of our stand-alone and hybrid Long-Term Care products. As a Quantitative Consultant, you’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, partnering across the organization to support key initiatives including inforce repricing, annual rate certifications, illustration testing, dividend analysis, and wellness programs. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your analytical expertise, influence business decisions, and make a meaningful impact on a highly visible business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data/Business Analytics)
  • 3+ years of experience in an insurance field (LTC, DI, life, health, etc.)
  • 2+ years of data analysis experience
  • 2+ years Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, including working knowledge (e.g., pivot tables, ability to work with existing macros)

  • Previous LTC experience
  • VBA experience
  • Power BI experience
  • Financial modeling capability
  • Actuarial certification or exams a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional groups
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt quickly to achieve goals

Responsibilities

  • Becoming an LTC subject matter expert regarding the product design, data, and how data is used across the organization
  • Collaborating within cross-functional teams that can include but is not limited to valuation, pricing, claims, operations, reinsurance, legal, compliance, and external partners
  • Developing and maintaining clear step-by-step documentation of modeling policies, procedures, calculations, and assumptions that meet all statutory and ASOP requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement and automation efforts by keeping innovation at the forefront, improving processes and practices, advocating for change and optimal value across the organization, asking questions and challenging the status quo, and taking ownership and personal responsibility
  • Supporting other team initiatives as needed
