About The Position

JPMorgan Chase is seeking professionals for Quant Modeling roles. The responsibilities include designing, developing, and building tools to support prototyping, experimenting, evaluating, and deploying models. This involves collaborating with modelers and analysts to gather feedback on modeling tools and working with platform teams to leverage and improve existing platforms. The role also entails evaluating and selecting necessary tools, answering key business questions by utilizing or creating data assets, and supporting modelers with technology, infrastructure, data, and analysis needs. Additionally, it involves improving data capabilities, data manipulation, query efficiency, reporting, and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business, or related field of study.
  • 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Modeling Lead, Technology Analysts, Manager-Projects, Consultant, or related occupation.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with designing and developing source code for analytical applications using automated and distributed data processing systems on UNIX and Hadoop platforms.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with data acquisition, transformation, feature engineering, exploratory analysis, visualization, and data storage using data science and analytics tools including SQL, Spark, Python, R, and SAS.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with automations using UNIX or LINUX shell scripts integrating Python, Distributed framework Spark, RDBMS such as Teradata, Oracle, or any Cloud database such as Snowflake.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with storing and versioning source code using version control tools and processes such as Bitbucket or Git.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with origination, sale and servicing, default management and loss mitigation, credit risk modeling, and loss forecasting methodology with Consumer Lending including Auto Finance, Home Lending, Card, and Business Banking lending lifecycle.
  • Three (3) years of experience with designing and developing distributed Analytical applications on AWS Cloud using Amazon S3, Apache Spark, and Amazon EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and build tools to support prototyping, experimenting, evaluating, and deploying models.
  • Work with modelers and analysts to collect feedback on modeling tools for product designs.
  • Work with platform teams to leverage existing platforms to build modeling tools and provide improvement feedback.
  • Evaluate and select open source or proprietary tools required to meet data and modeling requirements.
  • Answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones.
  • Support the modelers with technology and infrastructure needs, Line of Business data and related analysis, and improve and expand data capabilities, data manipulation, query efficiency techniques, reporting, and automation.
