About The Position

This internship focuses on supporting Anduril’s quality management system and managing changes to documentation and training. The intern will own a portion of the production quality support process for a specific product or set of products. Key activities include conducting data analysis and data mining to identify trends and patterns in product quality, developing and maintaining KPIs & OKR metrics to track product quality, and driving improvements through a cross-functional team. A significant part of the role involves leading a project to transform an element of the quality engineering team, such as a process, new inspection method, or complex data analytic method(s). The intern will also be responsible for writing documentation required for successful quality management for hardware at scale, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements. Collaboration with technicians and other engineers, including hands-on work with building and measuring prototype hardware, is expected. There is a possibility of travel to suppliers for initial sourcing, resolving production issues, and implementing quality procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Math, or a hard science.
  • Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
  • Ability to complete a 12-week in-person internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

Nice To Haves

  • Internships or school related experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing, quality, supply chain or design of electromechanical hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve issues related electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills.
  • Personal experience with inspection systems, data analysis, numeric methods, MatLab or other software packages.
  • A genuine interest in data analysis, process improvement, and thirst for learning.
  • Previous experience leading project and working with data collection, analysis, and driving improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems.
  • Software scripting experience in any language.
