About The Position

The Quality Engineering Intern will work for 12-14 weeks (May to August) to help implement process improvements. The Quality Engineering Intern will collaborate across the organization on efforts involving design for manufacturability and cost savings.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Eagerness to learn quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including strong verbal, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and participate effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Current college junior earning Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems or Industrial Engineering
  • Programing experience is required.
  • Experience in applying engineering concepts to solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively in a team to implement manufacturing process improvements
  • Collaborate with program mentors and champions to identify best methods for automating processes
  • Utilize a structured engineering approach to deploy best practices for process control and to improve yields
  • Initiate and/or update documentation of processes into work instructions
  • Leads capital project efforts to resolve production capacity and technology capability issues
  • Present multiple project updates to the local leadership team
  • Limited travel required for workshops and trade shows
