About The Position

Quality Technician I are entry-level technicians who are able to perform some complex manual inspection tasks as well as operating more sophisticated equipment such as manual CMMs, CNC CMMs, and optical comparators.

Requirements

• High school diploma is the minimum education level for this position.
• Attention to detail, organization, and a high degree of work ethics are essential.
• The ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents, including contracts, design drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and the ability to learn and operate proficiently in less common software packages is essential.
• Common software for this position will include MCOSMOS.
• The ability to make decisions based upon incomplete data is important in this position.

Nice To Haves

• A college degree in a technical field is helpful but not required.
• Experience in inspection or calibration is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operation of manual and CNC CMMs.
• Setup and operation of Optical Comparators.
• Use of inspection tools, including, but not limited to: height gauges, calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, and countersink gauges.
• Completion of inspection reports and other required paperwork.
• Acting as an example to the rest of the plant on use of procedures, following rules and policies, and cleanliness.
