Performs routine checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of material, product in process, and finished goods. This role involves performing assigned routine dimensional inspections on product both in process or finished where results are compared with company standards. The technician will visually inspect for obvious defects and utilize GD&T knowledge. They will also perform detailed inspections to determine the quality of product where limits are not clearly defined, and notify leaders or supervisors when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when incidents of poor quality are noted. Recording quality results on inspection forms, maintaining forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels, or quality studies, and making recommendations on the disposition of questionable product to supervisors/leaders are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role includes performing capability studies, maintaining adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards, observing company processes and making recommendations for improvement, and performing other duties as may be required. Attendance is an essential function of the job.
