This role is responsible for maintaining paint color and laminate standards and samples for customers and sales, and performing new paint and laminate color set-up for RFQs. The position involves daily monitoring of field and internal issues and defects, assisting with corrective and preventive actions, and managing the Madix Field Quality Reporting System. The Quality Technician will notify relevant parties of discovered issues, maintain records of field issues and corrective actions, and assist in creating Excel reports and writing company procedures, work instructions, policies, and forms. This role also involves making decisions on the acceptability of parts, paints, and colors on the plant floor, implementing and supporting the corporate inspection stamp system, performing shop floor inspections, assisting with shows and sample orders, and potentially backing up other QA department positions. Occasional customer interaction over the phone may be required.
