The Quality Technician is responsible for maintaining files in the Quality Assurance Department, including Billet Analysis Sheets, Bonnell Customer-Approved Prints, Material Inspection Reports, Calibrations Records, Quality Audit Reports, ISIR Paperwork, and any additional quality-related information. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, assist other personnel, and perform other duties as required. The technician must inform their supervisor of any equipment or other problems, work safely at all times wearing required PPE, and maintain a clean workstation. They will also participate in a collaborative environment, comply with safety policies, accept feedback to ensure safety standards, and complete special projects. The role involves performing mechanical (pull) tests on the Tensile Machine, maintaining all Quality Assurance tools, verifying tool calibration, ordering and maintaining inspection tools for other departments, performing quality audits, and reviewing inspection reports for accuracy. The technician will coordinate and operate the optical comparator for ISIR, PPAP, and daily inspections, and assist the Extrusion Department with quality inspections. Maintaining Die and Fabrication Print Files is also a key responsibility.
