About The Position

INDEVCO North America is an expanding company hiring for an entry-level position with growth potential. The position will be based at our Longview, TX location. In line with ‘Our Common Good’ strategy, we produce blown plastic film products. All the while ensuring that People Come First, whether employees, customers, or members of the communities in which we operate. Our dynamic manufacturing team in Longview, TX is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Quality Technician. This position is responsible for randomly selecting and analyze data from production and supplier samples and working in a lab and plant environment. You will communicate analysis to appropriate personnel and maintain the Quality System for compliance. Involved in daily and/or monthly Safety audits of equipment and personnel.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of computers and lab equipment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic understanding of computers.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Documentation and Quality System up to date.
• Basic lab equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Trained in Quality System and Internal Auditing and be able to train others within the facility.
• Familiar with all lab equipment and understand the data associated with the testing.

Responsibilities

• Randomly selecting and analyzing data from production and supplier samples.
• Working in a lab and plant environment.
• Communicating analysis to appropriate personnel.
• Maintaining the Quality System for compliance.
• Involved in daily and/or monthly Safety audits of equipment and personnel.
• Initiating and implement systems to improve “Quality System”.
• Ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
• Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member.
• Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met.
• Ensure that you are working safely and following all environmental procedures, and that your co-workers are doing the same.
• Performs inspections per Quality Procedure.
• Keeps the area clean and organized.
• Completes all required tracking forms (Inspections and checklists).
• Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines; Follows established safety guidelines; holds self and others accountable.
• Initiates and supports improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as instructed by Plant Manager or Production Manager.
• Trained in Quality System and Internal Auditing and be able to train others within the facility.
• Familiar with all lab equipment and understand the data associated with the testing.
• Keeping area clean and safe.
• Other duties as instructed by Supervisor, Lead, Production /or Plant Manager.
• Maintain SQF (Safe Quality Foods) standards.
