About The Position

C-P Flexible Packaging is now hiring a Quality Technician for the night shift, working a 7pm-7am schedule with a 2/2/3 rotation. The starting pay is $22/hour, depending on experience. This role is responsible for monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes, ensuring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process, and maintaining accurate documentation. The technician will also ensure adherence to recipe guidelines, Food Safety, and worker safety practices, and educate employees on quality expectations. Key responsibilities include collecting product samples, performing in-process printing inspections, identifying and correcting non-conformances, collaborating with operations on continuous improvement, and ensuring timely and accurate paperwork completion.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail is essential.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, and in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of GMP’s (21CFR 110/111/210/211).
Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
Prior experience in food environment a plus.
Flexible availability: we work night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
Monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
Ensuring correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing.
Ensuring employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
Ensuring and educating employees on quality expectations.
Collecting product samples for the Quality lab.
Performing inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications.
Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected “real time” when feasible.
Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines.
