About The Position

Glenroy, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician for the 3rd shift. This role involves performing product tests and measurements, monitoring production activities, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The technician will also be responsible for approving product specifications, managing line start-ups, and assembling test documentation. Additionally, they will conduct audits, summarize quality data for customer shipments (COA), initiate product holds, perform final product release, and maintain production test retains and records. The position may also require filling in on the production line as a Packer/Quality Inspector when needed. Requirements

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to read both metric and standard rulers
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to coach the Packer/Quality Inspector position
  • High school–level math skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Blueprint reading skills a plus
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to operate tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift and move objects over 50 pounds
  • Vision requirements include close vision, color recognition, and focus adjustment

Responsibilities

  • Perform product tests and measurements in accordance with product specifications and react appropriately to non-conforming issues identified.
  • Monitor production activities in accordance with established GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Perform approval of product specifications and line start-ups.
  • Identify and provide test documentation for product line start-ups.
  • Perform assigned audits/inspections in a timely manner.
  • Summarize and create quality data for customer shipments (COA – Certificate of Analysis).
  • Initiate and record product holds.
  • Perform final product release for shipments.
  • Assemble and file production test retains and records.
  • Fill in on production line as Packer/Quality Inspector as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
