About The Position

Fortune Brands Innovations, specifically its kitchen and bathroom division Fortune Brands Water Innovations, is seeking a Quality Technician. This role will primarily focus on supporting and ensuring suitability and compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Responsibilities include tracking nonconforming parts, escalating issues, and assisting with investigations and containment actions. The role may also involve internal data collection and tracking using provided templates and reporting tools.

Requirements

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience, minimum 2 years, in a manufacturing environment in a Quality Technician role.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Proficiency in using computer software to generate reports, presentations, and data analysis (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, ERP systems-EFACS).
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with quality engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience of using basic measurement devices i.e. vernier, micrometer etc.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong drive to develop their own skills and capabilities in the field of Quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in auditing process would be an advantage but not essential as training can be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Support investigations into customer complaints with quality checks and inspections.
  • Raise quality concerns identified during internal processes through CAPA process.
  • Monitor and inspect production processes/products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the production process.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support with maintaining quality documentation, including test plans and protocols.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and supplies to ensure quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality processes and procedures.
  • Support collection and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality control and process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and coordinate internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS.
