About The Position

STS Group, part of the Adler Pelzer Group, is a supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries. The company is launching a manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia, and is seeking a Quality Technician to help ensure quality standards are met during manufacturing. The role is identified as second shift. Education may be substituted with equivalent experience, and licenses and certifications are preferred but not required. The technician performs inspections and testing according to work instructions, maintains quality records and calibration information, supports check-fixture use and maintenance, assists with operator training, and helps ensure compliance with relevant ISO, IATF, and customer-specific requirements. Overtime may sometimes be required, including weekends. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support team goals.

Responsibilities

Complete receiving inspections according to work instructions.
Test pellet-specific gravity and melt flow rate.
Prepare material test reports.
Ensure proper use of check fixtures.
Maintain calibrations in the QSI Calibration database.
Maintain check-fixture devices.
Complete scrap entry and reporting.
Perform testing according to work instructions.
Complete forms and record, evaluate, and report quality and reliability data.
Assist in training new operators on work instructions and customer specification requirements.
Adhere to ISO 14001 requirements.
Adhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
Adhere to customer-specific requirements.
Execute layered process audits.
Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals.
