About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will make an impact by setting up and operating quality testing equipment, performing QC (Quality Control) measurements with corresponding disposition, and communicating testing results to manufacturing engineers. You will also assist in identifying quality related issues, aid in conducting MSA (measurement systems analysis) studies, and maintain records of quality related testing. Additionally, you will complete visual inspections, provide the necessary support to conduct experiments and scale-up manufacturing under technical staff’s direction, and work in a flexible work environment with varying work shifts and varying quality testing assignments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • One (1) year combined experience in a manufacturing, pilot plant and/or lab environment in a private, public, government or military environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving / analysis skills to operate and troubleshoot equipment as well as improve processes
  • Experience in quality control procedures, testing and reporting
  • Three (3) years experience in high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with production reporting in PMCS/OPRA and quality data entry in MES
  • Strong attention to detail and protocols

Responsibilities
