About The Position

Eaton’s CPS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Quality Technician role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 1:45pm-10:15pm. Full Benefits and 401k plan is offered to you day one of employment. What you’ll do: This position will be responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
  • Inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degree
  • ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industry
  • Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience
  • Statistical Process Control
  • Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technology

Responsibilities

  • Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts
  • Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts
  • Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines
  • Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled
  • Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues
  • Investigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues
  • Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnel
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines
  • Support Gage Calibration System
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies
