The Quality Technician will maintain a positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal. This role utilizes the NCR process and 8D approach to building quality into the processes. The technician will internally audit daily work activities to identify non-conformances, initiate, manage, and close out NCRs, and escalate issues to QA Engineers. Responsibilities include measuring the cost of poor quality, managing customer complaints and RGAs, transferring NCR corrective actions to FMEA critical controls, ensuring associates are trained on operating procedures, identifying opportunities to build quality into products and processes, liaising with engineering, production, safety, and vendors, and assisting in the development of SOPs and delivering training.
