About The Position

This role is for a Quality Technician on the night shift. The position involves understanding quality concepts in a manufacturing environment, using inspection tools, and ensuring product conformity. Responsibilities include documentation, controlling non-conforming product, wearing appropriate PPE, and adhering to company policies. The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of verifiable work experience, preferably in manufacturing. The work environment is a factory with temperature fluctuations, and the role involves extended periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, repetitive movement, and pushing/pulling, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Behavioral competencies include dependability, attention to detail, and teamwork. Technical competencies include training in API Q1 and ISO 9001, basic math skills, proficiency with measurement tools, adaptability, and the ability to learn technical procedures and read drawings.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of verifiable work experience, preferred in manufacturing environment
  • Factory environment with large range in temperature changes
  • Standing, walking, & Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
  • Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
  • Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily

  • Trained into API Q1 and ISO 9001
  • Basic math
  • Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
  • Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of quality concepts in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and similar equipment
  • Inspect, reject or accept product according to visual standard, weight, tally and other Q.C. requirements
  • Documentation and recordkeeping
  • Control the removal of monogram from non-conforming product
  • Wear appropriate PPE
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
