The Santa Rosa Metrology Laboratory has a position for a quality technician looking for a challenging position in the metrology field.

Requirements

At least 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience.
Strong team player with good communication skills; both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
Strong Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) background, and ability to read blueprints.
Understanding of mechanical metrology hand tool usage.
Strong PC (MS Windows/Office) skills.
Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) required.

Nice To Haves

Experience using automated software platforms is a plus.
Experience with optical measurement techniques preferred.
Strong Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) background is a plus.

Responsibilities

Use of high precision mechanical and optical measurement devices to ensure the quality of machined/milled/turned and other manufactured parts from various sources, both within and from external vendors.
Calibration of hand tools, various gauges, and the mechanical measurement of calibration kit components.
Completing tasks which require planning and judgment.
Solving a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
Accessing information and/or entering data into enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
Being familiar with lean techniques/methodologies, and using them in day-to-day activities.
Building and maintaining professional relationships with a wide range of people.
Adhering to the highest standards of business ethics.
Providing consistent, solid contribution to team delivery goals.
Exercising good discretion in the use of time and other resources.
