About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting and approving all vendor yarn and in-process yarn, as well as inspecting and approving all manufacturing processes as needed in the yarn plant. This role involves maintaining up-to-date files on all yarns and colors, establishing standards for new colors, and performing various checks on production processes. The position requires familiarity with yarn and dye plant operations, the ability to use SAP/computer systems, and a willingness to cross-train between plants. Strong communication skills, color recognition abilities, and the capacity to work in a demanding environment with changing priorities are essential. A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and approve all vendor yarns.
  • Inspect and approve all yarns processed at the Yarn and Dye Plant.
  • Maintain up-to-date files on all yarns and colors.
  • Maintain standards on all new colors, including vendor yarns.
  • Check with Product Development to obtain standards from their markup.
  • Make twist checks on all processes.
  • Inspect air entanglement operation as needed.
  • Set up orders as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or QC.
