Quality Technician (7 AM - 3:30 PM Shift)

About The Position

As a Quality Technician at Jabil, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet applicable engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The role performs inspections and testing, maintains accurate quality documentation, identifies non-conforming products, and works with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The technician also supports continuous improvement and quality audits, provides guidance to production personnel on quality procedures, and follows applicable safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection practices, and manufacturing processes.
Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and product requirements.
Experience using precision measurement and test equipment, including calipers, micrometers, multimeters, optical comparators, and similar tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and product quality.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and continuously improve.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in a technical field or related discipline.
Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing quality, inspection, or quality control role.
Experience in electronics, medical device, or another regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and quality requirements.
Conduct functional, electrical, mechanical, and other required testing using appropriate inspection and test equipment.
Document inspection and test results accurately according to established procedures.
Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials and products, and support containment and corrective action activities.
Assist with root cause analysis and support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain quality records, inspection logs, test data, and other required documentation.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain inspection and quality control equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and other product documentation.
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to identify and resolve quality concerns.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process effectiveness, and operational performance.
Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.
Provide production personnel with guidance and support regarding quality procedures, inspection requirements, and workmanship standards.
Follow applicable safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
