This role involves visually observing dimensional and functional characteristics of the product in its final form, performing first part inspections on startup, and evaluating product manufacturing. The technician will review certifications for incoming materials, conduct in-process and final inspections using various precision measurement tools, and reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments. Responsibilities also include hardness testing, using bore gages, Johnson gages, and gage blocks, and having a full understanding of the receiving inspection process. The role requires assisting with MRB and non-conforming material processing, performing shipping inspections, understanding the calibration system, and creating inspection sheets. Other duties as assigned by the lead are also part of the role.
