About The Position

The Quality Technician Lead will examine products for defects or deviations from specifications and help oversee it for the shift. This role includes leading the team in evaluating and assessing processes that impact label quality, ensuring that all procedures meet company standards and customer expectations throughout the shift.

Requirements

Keen eye for color – ability to distinguish between minimal color variances.
A heighten focus for detail is essential.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to read, interpret and create simple correspondence and memos.
Moderate work experience using a computer including data entry and Microsoft office programs including Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read a ruler.
Ability to manage multiple, on-going, and high priority assignments at the same time.
Ability to work independently.
Work flexibility – willingness to cover other team members during vacation/other time off as needed, willingness to work OT as needed.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years' experience in printing preferred.
Formal quality training or ASQ certifications

Responsibilities

Ability to complete all tasks per Quality Tech Level 1 and 2
Ability to be trained and retain knowledge on multiple quality control devices
Assists manager in leading quality expectations
Participate and lead departmental data and projects as assigned
Participate in and lead (if needed) Quality Review Meetings
Perform Internal Audits on processes
Fully participate in problem solving and CAPA responses
Can process customer return and response
Can develop and lead basic training for press operators – sign off procedures, identifying bad die cut, etc;
Can write Work Instructions and SOP’s for manager review
Brings formal quality training or ASQ certifications into process improvement or relative experience
Provides direction to quality techs 1 & 2 as needed
Train new hires and/or assess new hire training if another tech is training
