About The Position

The role of the Quality Technician II is to maintain quality control testing procedures, practices and standard evaluation methods that will ensure product quality and integrity to meet company standards. Technicians will ensure proper testing of all incoming milk into the facility to releasing of any finished product leaving facility. Use laboratory instruments and equipment to help analyze, control, and minimize product variations. Performs physical, chemical, and microbiological testing at different levels of the process to ensure a safe and quality product meeting standards set forth in the PMO. Conduct daily audits assuring GMP compliance from all areas of the plant from production to processing and verifying equipment meets sanitation requirements prior to and throughout production. Will also conduct environmental testing around facility including air sampling, pathogen swabbing and water sampling.

Requirements

1-3 years of quality assurance experience; preferably within the food or dairy industry
Has good written and verbal communication, and interpersonal and presentation skills
Motivated to work with a team and a growing company
Experience demonstrating the ability to work and contribute knowledge to cross functional teams across the business (i.e., operations, research and development)

Nice To Haves

Associates degree with additional lab experience or bachelor’s degree in food related or microbiology preferred
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP’s and OSHA guidelines preferred

Responsibilities

Perform all duties associated with a Quality Technician I
Perform all micro platting of finished goods, in process, and subsamples and interpret results
Produce and send out non-conformance reports to management team
Perform all drug residue on incoming milk tankers according to PMO regulations
Perform monthly finished product gluten testing
Draft and communicate product holds and quarantine product in ERP systems
Update Quality Shift and Product Out of Spec reports
Perform daily/ weekly air quality monitoring as well as read and interpret results
Perform weekly inventory to maintain lab supplies
Perform plant water testing and complete weight sheet review for regulatory compliance
Complete data review for finished product batch release
Complete other tasks as needed
