About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician to support testing and failure analysis of returned products. This role plays a key part in identifying product issues, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, and contributing to overall product quality improvements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical components in a lab environment and be comfortable documenting findings in a structured system.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (or higher) in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in failure analysis or lab-based troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, X-ray machines, cutting tools, etc.).
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work onsite in San Diego initially, with future transition to Valencia.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with RF devices and related concepts.
  • Experience using systems such as SAP or Salesforce.
  • Understanding of post-market quality processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on returned devices based on user-reported issues.
  • Analyze electrical, electronic, and mechanical components to determine root cause.
  • Accurately document investigation results and conclusions in the Global Complaint Management System (GCMS).
  • Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs) to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with technicians and quality engineers to review and refine findings.
  • Assist in maintaining lab equipment and overall workspace organization.
  • Complete product record reviews as needed.
  • Participate in training related to procedures, systems, and lab processes.
