About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician to support testing and failure analysis of returned products. This role plays a key part in identifying product issues, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, and contributing to overall product quality improvements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical components in a lab environment and be comfortable documenting findings in a structured system.

Requirements

Associate’s degree (or higher) in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or related field.
2+ years of experience in failure analysis or lab-based troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, X-ray machines, cutting tools, etc.).
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work onsite in San Diego initially, with future transition to Valencia.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in the medical device industry.
Familiarity with RF devices and related concepts.
Experience using systems such as SAP or Salesforce.
Understanding of post-market quality processes and systems.

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on returned devices based on user-reported issues.
Analyze electrical, electronic, and mechanical components to determine root cause.
Accurately document investigation results and conclusions in the Global Complaint Management System (GCMS).
Identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs) to ensure compliance.
Collaborate closely with technicians and quality engineers to review and refine findings.
Assist in maintaining lab equipment and overall workspace organization.
Complete product record reviews as needed.
Participate in training related to procedures, systems, and lab processes.
