The Quality Assurance Technician II tests and inspects products and materials at various stages of the production process. Conducts audits of Critical To Quality (CTQ) processes and Engineering Change Notices (ECN). Measures and evaluates machinery output. Performs Receiving Inspection and investigates other material issues as needed. Takes an active role with on-going training of line employees. Is able to utilize appropriate problem-solving tools to determine the root causes of issues. Suggests ideas for and submits drafts of new CTQs and procedures. Select products or materials for testing. Test product/material for quality characteristics, such as dimensions, performance, mechanical operation and appearance. Record test data, prepare graphs/charts, interpret engineering drawings, and note nature and magnitude of non-conformity. Enter data into personal computer. Write description of problem. Prepare Quarantine forms as required. Complete a comprehensive daily tie-in to all of Fabrication Management. Set up and perform destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts or products.
