About The Position

The Quality Technician analyzes quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective action. Quality may also take proactive measures, such as developing and implementing continuous improvement programs covering production processes and quality management systems. Also oversees the calibration of the inspection and test equipment ensuring the calibration meets the requirements under ISO 17025, conducts process audit to the inspection and test equipment and conduct the verification of the calibration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other technical drawings.
  • Basic understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing process.
  • One (1) year experience in a relevant quality role (i.e. Quality Inspector, Quality Technician).
  • Ability to use inspection and test equipment to include, but not limited to, tape measures, calipers, Inficon leak tester, Hipot stand tester, and PosiTest-paint thickness.

Responsibilities

  • Full understanding of the requirements specified in the Job Reports and ensure that all the requirements specified are met.
  • Address customer concerns and provide solutions
  • Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality.
  • Assist with process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with departmental managers / team leads.
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspection of all cases prior to shipment to ensure they meet the customers specifications.
  • Conduct inspection that refrigeration components are correct and measurements of cases in process stage are correct before they are moved to final assembly.
  • Create corrective actions to ensure that products meet required specifications.
  • Ensure that all the issues and defects found during production are recorded and entered into the data base.
  • Create and understand quality charts (pareto and process control “SPC”).
  • Conduct process audits to ensure that production methods, machinery, and raw materials are in compliance with standards.
  • Use inspection and test equipment as: tape measurement, caliper, Inficon leak tester, Hipot stand tester, PosiTest-paint thickness.
  • Support end of the line testing of the cases: Remote, Hot case, Self-contained, Solo Chill
