About The Position

The QA technician routinely performs assignments in support of Dover Food Retail’s Quality System requirements through all phases of design and manufacture to ensure compliance with blueprint and/or documented process of control requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques such as calipers and micrometers
  • Knowledge of industry standards and quality assurance principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes and standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Quality or related fields
  • Associate degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or data analysis software
  • Proficiency in using quality management software
  • Experience with statistical process control and quality improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits or inspections of product following specifications, checklists, or process control instructions at various stages of process flow, including Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA), In-Process Validation (Inspection), and Final Walk (FW).
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and non-conformities in defined quality systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to resolve quality issues and discrepancies.
  • Communicate findings to Engineers and quality assurance teams.
  • Assist in the development of inspection criteria and methodologies.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain inspection equipment per instructions to ensure accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned
