Responsible for performing inspections, tests, analyses and/or audits of highly complex developmental products or processes to include microelectronics, precision mechanical, software, test equipment and fully integrated systems to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements. Assists in development and inspection of complex rework and repair of deliverable subassemblies and large system level integrated platforms. Approves production records for conformance to procedures. Responsible for ensuring safety, reliability and hardware traceability for end-item systems and mission solutions through production quality oversight. Collaborate with quality engineers in developing inspection requirements and techniques and implementing quality plans. Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components per drawings, specifications, and inspection plans. Conduct in-process inspections and first article inspections (FAI) to verify product conformity. Identify, segregate, and control nonconforming material. Manage calibrated inspection and measuring equipment, including verification of calibration status and coordination of recalibration. Support internal and external audits as needed. Communicate quality issues and findings clearly to cross-functional teams.
