About The Position

This position is a full-time position at the Irvine site of DZYNE Technologies LLC. The primary goal of this role is to ensure technical drawing compliance by performing rigorous quality reviews of mechanical and electrical drawings, and systematic process optimization. The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.

Requirements

• Understand mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in GD&T.
• Working knowledge of AS9001 or ISO 9001.
• Ability to interface effectively with many internal and external groups.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Six Sigma or LEAN methodology.
• Proficiency in IPC soldering/assembly standards.

Responsibilities

• Critically review mechanical blueprints for adherence to ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and electrical schematics for compliance with IPC-A-610/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Inspect multi-layer PCBs, wiring harnesses, and avionics layouts for correct creepage, clearance, thermal relief, and wire gauge sizing.
• Act as the final quality gate for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), reviewing modified drawings for secondary risks.
• Analyze the handoff between design engineering and the manufacturing floor to streamline and accelerate the drawing release workflow.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis when recurring drawing errors or manufacturing defects escape to the production line.
• Create and maintain robust drawing review checklists and Standard Operating Procedures to institutionalize tribal knowledge and prevent "repeat offender" mistakes.
• Ensure all design control and manufacturing processes comply with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Participate in internal audits to ensure the effective implementation of Quality Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Give feedback and address Quality related concerns at the inception stage of an Engineering Change Request.
• Assist in the identification and containment of products affected by Engineering Change Notice dispositions.
