About The Position

The Quality Tech position involves performing various inspection and quality control tasks to ensure incoming and in-process materials meet customer requirements. This role requires understanding and utilizing measurement tools, interpreting technical drawings, and participating in problem-solving activities. The position also supports company policies related to safety, quality, housekeeping, and continuous improvement, while adhering to MIOSHA standards.

Requirements

Understand how to use measurement tools and equipment.
Interpret customer drawings (GD&T).
Ability to use computers in area of quality alerts, setting up sorts and gather information from sorts.
Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime.
Regular and predictable attendance required.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving inspection approvals on incoming parts.
Verify incoming and in process material meets customer requirements.
Complete inspection related documents.
Perform dock and process audits per inspection worksheet, gage instructions and other customer requirements.
Verify quality of sort and rework operations (Set-up sorts, gather information from sorts).
Support of non-conforming system proficiency (input and output of hold area).
Support TS-16949 and ISO 14001 standards and procedures.
Understand, support, and implement the company Safety policies and procedures into daily work habits.
Understand, support, and implement the company Quality policy and procedures into daily work habits.
Understand, support, and implement the company Housekeeping policies into daily work habits.
Understand, support, and implement Continuous Improvement skills into daily work habits.
Perform all duties and operate machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
Assume other duties as directed by supervisor.
