About The Position

This role is for a Quality Tech on the 2nd shift. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and experience with computers and data entry. The responsibilities include performing receiving inspections, documenting and filing inspection results, reviewing defects with vendors, creating and sending supplier scrap reports, documenting cost recovery trends, organizing rejection/scrap information, and supporting manufacturing departments with containments and inspections of supplier parts. The role also emphasizes safety protocols, identifying and addressing quality issues, problem-solving, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and quality standards. The Quality Tech will participate in lean and continuous improvement programs, assist operations in meeting production goals, conduct daily process audits, create Quality Alerts, participate in containment activities, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

Experience with Excel spreadsheets
Experience with Outlook
High level of organization skills (computer documents, files, information, keeping in order and well organized)
High school Diploma or GED required.
Experience with computers and data entry REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

Forklift expertise a plus
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Perform receiving inspection activities on supplier parts.
Document and file results of receiving inspection activities.
Review defects with vendors.
Create and send supplier scrap reports.
Document cost recovery trend.
Organize and file rejection/scrap/ information.
Support manufacturing departments with containments/inspections of supplier parts.
Always practice Safety protocols (including LOTO, and PPE).
Be able to identify quality issues and address each issue appropriately.
Have strong problem-solving capabilities, prioritize activities to coordinate with customer requirements.

Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives, and activities.
Assist operations to meet or exceed daily production goals and departmental objectives as directed.
Daily process audits based on product audit schedule and requirements.
Create Quality Alerts and communication flow down.
Containment participation.
Work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy.
Perform all assigned tasks per the SOP (standard operating procedures), manufacturing alerts, safety alerts and quality alerts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
