About The Position

The Quality Tech assists with operation of the manufacturing line, ensuring quality and working toward efficiency and excellence while following safety requirements. The role performs routine inspections of production assemblies and sub-assemblies, determines product acceptance or rejection against quality standards, and records inspection results in a computerized MES system. The work is performed under close supervision and follows established procedures and visual aids.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant Jabil production position or equivalent external work experience.
• QC certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in printed circuit board manufacturing.
• A degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality at various stages of production.
• Inspect in-process and finished production assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards.
• Read and follow visual aids, engineering change notices, and operating procedures; determine whether products should be accepted or rejected.
• Work under close supervision of a Manufacturing Supervisor or other designated supervisor.
• Follow standardized written directions and visual aids for assigned quality assurance inspection operations.
• Visually inspect products using a magnifying glass, lot sampling methods, first article checks, and/or AOI machines.
• Enter standardized information into the computerized MES system to indicate whether a board passes or fails.
• Follow applicable safety and health rules and regulations.
• Comply with company security procedures.
