We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tech (Quality) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various quality assurance methodologies, data management, and process audits. The role involves managing advanced measurement equipment, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Optic-line systems ensuring adherence to quality standards and optimizing operational processes to maintain a high level of product integrity. Ability to be quality minded, able to troubleshoot issues, product knowledge. Must be able to use a computer efficiently and have knowledge in use of Microsoft office. Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating and managing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Optic-line systems.
  • Proficient in Blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing)
  • Knowledge of Calypso (CMM Software) and Q-Ccalc (Data management from CMM measurements)
  • Strong programming skills in VBA and VB.net to develop and enhance quality systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and Inline Process Audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide support for measurement equipment, such as the Gauge Lab.
  • Prior experience with Pronto Forms or similar tools for process optimization and management.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
  • Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Optic-line systems, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Utilize programming languages such as VBA and VB.net to enhance and streamline quality systems and processes.
  • Lead and conduct Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and Inline Process Audits to verify compliance with established quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to address and mitigate IT security risks relevant to the quality department's operations.
  • Provide backup support for the Gauge Lab, ensuring its functionality and availability when required.
  • Utilize Pronto Forms to facilitate efficient and organized quality management processes, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Understanding of purchasing system and requirements for purchasing items
  • Ability to monitor, collect, and process various types of data to assist in measuring systems, processes, or product
  • Perform assigned tasks within the stated or implied deadlines and meet all expected deliverables
  • Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
  • Willingness to cross-train throughout the area
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
