About The Position

This role involves training team members in assembling and installing sub-assembly components for commercial HVAC products on an assembly line. The position ensures safe and timely completion of work in line with codes and quality standards, and serves as the primary contact for line issues. The Quality Team Leader (QTL) is responsible for maintaining unit standards for quality and productivity, training team members, keeping information on unit schedules and procedures updated, scheduling production time, verifying work order packets, and confirming parts availability. They also approve paperwork for sub-assemblies and end-of-line checks, stay updated on assembly procedures and equipment, enforce safety and housekeeping standards, inspect blueprints, communicate effectively with management and the team, monitor work environments, perform minor repairs, and provide production backup support. Additional functions include completing the QTL Program, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills, flexibility, problem-solving assistance, building relationships, working cooperatively, maintaining satisfactory work attendance, working variable schedules, overtime as assigned, and complying with company policies.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Assess work accuracy and quality, including color detection.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English language.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures unit standards for quality and productivity.
  • Checks proper assembly and installation of each unit and parts.
  • Trains team members on assembling and installing sub-assembly components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
  • Keeps and maintains up-to-date information on unit schedules and assembly/quality procedures.
