About The Position

Vaya Advanced Machining is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of its aerospace Quality Management System. • Strong organizational, analytical, written communication, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to observe work, interview employees, document processes, and translate requirements into practical controls.
  • Comfort working with detailed documents, records, spreadsheets, and enterprise systems.
  • Willingness to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Must be eligible to access ITAR-controlled information. To comply with U.S. export regulations, candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined under those regulations or otherwise eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, regulated manufacturing, or quality systems.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and ongoing maintenance of the AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Compare existing processes, procedures, system configurations, and records against applicable quality requirements.
  • Maintain implementation trackers, gap logs, risk and opportunity actions, audit evidence, and certification-readiness records.
  • Work with employees and process owners to document how work is performed and identify gaps between requirements, documented processes, and actual practices.
  • Develop and revise process maps, procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, and training materials.
  • Coordinate QMS training assignments, completion records, competency evaluations, and retraining activities.
  • Complete AS9100 internal-auditor training and progressively participate in process, system, and follow-up audits.
  • Document objective evidence, findings, corrective actions, and effectiveness reviews.
  • Support root-cause analysis, continual improvement, and closure of nonconformities and audit findings.
  • Organize documents and records for internal, customer, registrar, and regulatory audits.
  • Collect and validate quality performance data and prepare supporting information for management review.
  • Support the transition to IA9100 following publication of the revised standard and applicable transition requirements.
