Quality Systems Engineer - Flash Blade and Flash Array

Requirements
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 10+ years of software system testing experience.
- Deep knowledge of the storage stack — high availability, caching, flash, RAID, dedup/compression, filesystems, block storage, I/O paths, latency/throughput trade-offs, consistency, and replication — including designing test strategies for complex storage features.
- Knowledge of storage protocols (Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI, NVMe, SCSI, NFS, SMB) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack), plus experience across multiple operating systems (Linux/Windows/VMware).
- Proven experience with interoperability testing, firmware updates, backwards compatibility, and upgrade paths, gained through hands-on work in hardware labs or data centers with storage arrays.
- Strong hands-on Python test automation skills, familiarity with IO tools (vdbench, Orion, IOmeter) and database technologies (Oracle/SQL, OOP concepts), and solid grounding in QA best practices, failure/corner-case scenario design, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring releases of the highest quality
- Plan, test and qualify shipping releases
- Work with Support and Escalation teams to help reproduce and root cause customer issues
- Identifying, analyzing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing
- Triage and debug automated test failures across a multi-machine hardware/software stack
- Perform ad-hoc, automated and manual testing
- Design and build tools and automation to simplify testing and integration workflows
- Identify any test gaps, perform root cause analysis & close loop with the release engineering.
