Murfreesboro is a high performing, multi-platform non-union facility with over 300 employees leading the safe, high-quality production of a wide range of dairy products. This site supports the Midwest Yogurt business across over 10 production lines. This Quality Systems Coordinator position will be responsible for supporting Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory work at this facility.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of quality, food safety or related experience
  • Ability to influence constructive, positive changes within a plant environment
  • Clear, concise, well directed communication/ability to employ multiple communication styles to execute a given task
  • Ability to flex work schedule when required to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This includes occasional early/late work hours.
  • General understanding of product quality, sensory, sanitation and food safety
  • Ability to understand the tools of problem solving and decision making.
  • Demonstrated initiative and bias for action
  • Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of quality, food safety or related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Food Science

Responsibilities

  • Provide Food Safety & Quality support through execution of various programs and maintenance of records in areas of regulatory compliance, product quality, food safety, sanitation, ingredients, and defect handling
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Sanitation and Engineering as necessary to coordinate non-conforming raw material and finished product dispositions
  • Using Quality Engineering principles, collect, analyze, and interpret in-process and analytical data to make quality evaluations and recommend actions for raw material and product dispositions
  • Provide tactical support to the Food Safety and Quality organization in matters of system updating, documents management and record-keeping
