Requirements

  • Post Secondary Education, Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred
  • 3–5+ years in automotive quality systems (Tier 1 environment preferred)
  • Proven experience with IATF 16949 and OEM customer requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of Internal auditing practices, Core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans), BIQS framework and layered audits
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Red X preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit/reporting systems
  • Strong attention to detail and process focus
  • Ability to identify systemic gaps and drive sustainable improvements
  • Effective communicator with strong report-writing skills and high integrity and accountability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Execute internal audits (system, process, product) aligned to IATF 16949 and Magna standards
  • Maintain compliance to GM BIQS, Stellantis CQS, and other OEM-specific requirements
  • Conduct Layered Process Audit (LPA) validation and effectiveness checks
  • Support customer audits, IATF certification audits, and corporate assessments
  • Document audit findings and lead/support structured problem solving (5-Why, 8D, Red X)
  • Drive timely closure of corrective actions and verify effectiveness
  • Escalate systemic risks impacting quality system performance
  • Support Safe Launch, error-proofing (poka-yoke), and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and improve QMS documentation (procedures, work instructions, audit standards)
  • Ensure document control compliance per Magna and IATF requirements
  • Support Management Review with audit results, trends, and KPI analysis
  • Monitor key metrics, audit completion vs. plan, repeat findings / systemic issues
  • Prepare clear, concise audit summaries for leadership and customer reviews
  • Partner with Production Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Launch teams
  • Provide support with BIQS/IATF expectations and audit readiness
  • Perform other duties as assigned
