About The Position

Ox Bodies, a subsidiary of Federal Signal, is seeking a Quality Support individual to join their team. This role involves supporting tasks related to the receipt of truck chassis and pre-delivery preparation, including installation of spreader chains, applying DOT stickers, moving trucks, and cleaning various parts of the chassis. The position also includes performing quality audits on units and maintaining 5S principles. The work environment is primarily outdoors in a non-temperature-controlled setting. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest quality and durability of Ox Bodies' products.

Requirements

High school diploma or (GED)
No relevant experience required.
Demonstrated ability to operate equipment, with or without training.
Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instructions.
Must be self-motivated to be able to work independently as well as working within a team environment.
Must be safety oriented.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to walk long distances throughout the day.
Must be able to climb in and out of large chassis.
Must be reliable and detail oriented.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Install tailgate spreader chains.
Apply DOT bed stickers.
Support for tasks associated with receipt of truck chassis and pre-delivery preparation.
Locate trucks and move them to designated locations.
Clean cab interiors.
Pressure wash and clean frame, cab, wheels and bed.
Perform quality audits of green tagged units.
Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, mainly outdoors.
Maintain 5S; Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
Any other tasks deemed necessary by quality leadership staff.
