About The Position

The Quality Support Specialist will provide administrative and clerical support services to the Quality Management System as necessary to ensure the functioning of the QMS in accordance with defined Quality Policies. This position is responsible for various clerical and administrative duties to assist the Quality Department in ensuring documented information related to product quality such as maintenance of internal and external documents, operation of the mail room, file storage, audit records and approved supplier files. The position is responsible for ensuring all documented information is maintained in an organized and readily retrievable, legible fashion. This includes the preparation, scanning, and checking conversion/upload of documents. This may also include the upload or extraction of information to or from internet portals or databases. This position will be responsible for executing defined changes to quality system information such as forms, procedures, and specifications, and ensuring revision control is maintained on quality system documentation. The position may also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of purchasing information relative to QMS requirements. The position may also be responsible for preparing various reports and/or metrics utilizing documented information as requested by Quality Management. The position is also responsible for administrative duties with respect to any required personnel qualifications in support of defined quality system requirements (eye exams, certifications, specialized training, etc.). This position must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the Quality Department. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. This position is also responsible for providing hospitality services towards internal and external visitors to the extent requested by the hosting API group (drinks, snacks, lunches, etc.). This includes the handling and accounting of petty cash as it supports such efforts.

Requirements

  • Read and write English
  • General Quality System knowledge
  • High School Diploma
  • General knowledge of how the quality management systems works
  • General computer skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Ability to use various 3rd party software programs such as LaserVault and AS400
  • Must be detail oriented and follow issues through to completion
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Ability to utilize customer portals

Responsibilities
