Quality Supervisory Basic Skills: Department Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with timekeeping and performance management procedures. Employee Management: Oversee employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to support team development and productivity. Training & Development: Assist with onboarding and training of new employees, as well as provide ongoing education and skill development for the team. Workflow Management: Prioritize inspection activities through the department to meet Martin and/or customer quality standards and expectations. Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure smooth workflow, adherence to standards and specifications and effectively communicate back to manufacturing when standards are not met. Workplace Safety & Maintenance: Ensure the team maintains tools and equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner, addressing safety concerns promptly. Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve production or personnel issues promptly to avoid disruptions to operations. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in machined parts inspection.
Ability to read and understand detailed information on part prints(Blueprints) and customer specifications.
Demonstrated ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
Ability to maintain a consistent and active presence on the shop floor, spending approximately 2/3 of the shift overseeing operations.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with shop employees, office staff, supervisors, managers, and executives.
Able to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected challenges while maintaining productivity and focus.
Excellent team player with the ability to work well with others and foster a collaborative and cooperative work environment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety, with a demonstrated ability to promote and enforce safety standards and practices.
Proficiency in performance management processes, including creating plans of action and conducting employee evaluations.
Highly detail-oriented, ensuring quality and precision in all tasks and responsibilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively throughout the shift.
Average math skills, with the ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English and complete logs, documents, and reports accurately.

CMM Machine experience preferred.
