About The Position

The Quality Supervisor will oversee the quality assurance department/lab, ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures. This role involves training and managing employees, conducting audits, participating in quality planning, and standardizing procedures to enhance efficiency. The supervisor will also support management requests and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

Minimum 1-3 years experience or training in quality in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Awareness of customer specific requirements as impacted by quality technicians / lab measurement (can be learned during role).

Nice To Haves

Technical degree preferred.
Previous experience in a supervision role preferred.

Responsibilities

Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
Supervising employees in the quality assurance department/lab.
Issuing written and oral instructions to subordinates.
Having subordinates perform on-site audits, corrective actions, and other quality-related activities.
Scheduling, performing, and assigning audits to subordinates, and following up on activities related to the internal audit program.
Participating in advanced quality planning processes.
Reviewing and standardizing procedures to improve the efficiency of subordinates.
Providing support as requested by the manager.
Ensuring employees initiate action to prevent violations of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.
Ensuring all employees abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply with legal and other requirements, work towards established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard.
Ensuring employees report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure themselves.
