About The Position

Nucor Towers & Structures is seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded, and effective communicator to join our team as a Quality Supervisor. This role is crucial in leading and fostering a culture of quality at our operating location in Crawfordsville, IN. The supervisor will be directly responsible for the day-to-day quality activities, building, coaching, and mentoring the quality team. This position involves tracking and reporting on quality performance, ensuring compliance with procedures, and conducting internal and external audits. The role also includes leading, training, and developing Quality Department personnel, identifying potential risks, and making recommendations. While based in Crawfordsville, IN, occasional travel to other production facilities, job sites, vendors, or suppliers may be required. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for an AISC or ISO certified fabrication shop
Experience with AISC certifications and related audit processes
Experience in customer interactions, audits, and field issue resolution
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1
Knowledge of NDT Methods such as UT, MT, and VT
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Nice To Haves

5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for an AISC or ISO certified fabrication shop

Responsibilities

Leading and fostering a culture of quality at their operating location.
Engaging the team and improving the safety of all NTS operations.
Directly responsible for day-to-day quality activities at their division.
Directly responsible for building, coaching, and mentoring the quality team at their division.
Tracking and reporting on quality performance, back charges, re-work, etc. for all departments.
Ensuring compliance with procedures and auditing established procedures internally and externally.
Leading, training, coaching, and developing Quality Department personnel on quality requirements and procedures.
Identifying potential areas of risk and making recommendations.
