About The Position

Nucor Towers & Structures Inc is seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded, effective communicator to join their team as a Quality Supervisor in Crawfordsville, IN. This role is crucial for leading and fostering a culture of quality, improving safety, and overseeing day-to-day quality activities. The supervisor will be responsible for building, coaching, and mentoring the quality team, tracking and reporting on quality performance metrics, ensuring compliance with procedures, and identifying potential areas of risk. While the position is based in Crawfordsville, occasional travel to other production facilities, job sites, vendors, and suppliers may be required. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for an AISC or ISO certified fabrication shop
Experience with AISC certifications and related audit processes
Experience in customer interactions, audits, and field issue resolution
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1
Knowledge of NDT Methods such as UT, MT, and VT
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Leading and fostering a culture of quality at their operating location.
Engage team and improve Safety of all NTS operations.
Directly responsible for day-to-day quality activities at their division.
Directly responsible for building, coaching and mentoring the quality team at their division.
Tracking and reporting on quality performance, back charges, re-work, etc for all departments.
Ensure compliance with procedures and audit established procedures internally and externally.
Lead, train, coach, and develop Quality Department personnel on quality requirements, procedures.
Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations.
